Our teachers are supportive and nurturing educators. The majority have a Bachelor’s degrees. Most of our teachers are Lead Teacher certified or working on their certification. Through our annual professional development plans, our teachers keep current with advances in early childhood education. All teachers have a professional development requirement of 20 hours annually. Current and age-based professional development ensures that our students receive consistently high-quality care and education that contribute to positive learning and development. We are proud that our longest serving teacher has been with us since 2001.
Marianne Maloney, M. Ed.
Marianne joined Weston Wing as the new Director in July, 2012. Marianne has a Bachelor's degree in Human Services from the University of Massachusetts, a Master's of Education from Wheelock and Cambridge College and is a certified Developmental Specialist through the Department of Public Health. Marianne is excited to continue Weston Wing's legacy of providing excellence in early education and care. Prior to joining Weston Wing Marianne was a center director for over 18 years in Concord, MA.
Younger Toddler Team
Brianna is a Co-Teacher in Yellow Class. She is certified as Teacher by the DEEC . She has previous experience teaching toddlers and preschoolers in a program in Hudson, MA.
Elizabeth Hoffman B.S.
Elizabeth is Co-Teacher in Purple Class. Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus in Human Development. She is certified by the Department of Early Education and Care as a Lead Teacher for Infants/Toddlers as well Preschool. In addition, she is Director I and II certified. Prior to joining Weston Wing, Elizabeth was an educator in several Newton and Brookline childcare centers.
Wendy Eglinton, B.A.
Wendy is a Co-Teacher in our Yellow Class. She has a Bachelor's degree from Colby College. She is certified by the DEEC as Teacher, and has taught in the field for 20 years. Previously, Wendy taught at North Ave. Nursery School. She is also a Weston parent.
Amy Morris, B.A.
Amy is the Coordinator in the Afternoon Preschool-Prek Class. She has her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Psychology and is Lead Teacher IT/PS from DEEC. Amy also has previous experience as a nanny and as an early childhood teacher.
Jan Carlson, B.A.
Jan is Co-Teacher in our Green Class and the Associate Director of the school. Jan is DEEC certified as Lead Teacher and Director, has a Bachelor’s degree in Latin and Greek, and certification in Latin and English for Secondary Ed. She is a certified Orton-Gillingham tutor for students with reading and language based learning difficulties. Jan was director of the Whittemore House Nursery School for 27 years. Jan is also the grandmother of two Weston Wing graduates.
Vincenzina Lahey, B.A.
Vin is a Co-Teacher in our Green Class. She is certified as Lead Teacher and Director by DEEC and has a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She has previously taught at the Leap School and the Bartlett School. Vin is also a parent at Weston Wing.
Jenn is Co-Teacher in Red Class. Jenn is certified as Lead Teacher from DEEC. Jenn has experience as a preschool/pre-kindergarten teacher and a strong background in planning curriculum for play based preschool settings. Jenn previously worked at a Newton preschool program.
Jill Tierney, B.A.
Jill is Co-Teacher our Blue Class as Lead Co-teacher. Jill is DEEC certified as Lead Teacher and Director. She was previously Lead Teacher and Director at North Avenue Nursery School in Weston. She is also a supervisor of adult and youth programs for the Town of Weston Recreation Department.
Deborah Blanchard, M. Ed.
Transitional Kindergarten Team
Deborah is Lead Teacher in Blue Class. She is a graduate of Wheelock College, holds a Masters Degree from Boston College, and has earned 60 plus graduate credits. She holds DOE licensure in Elementary K-8, Teacher of Young Children with Special Needs Preschool, and Intensive Special Needs All Levels. She was previously a Kindergarten and Preschool Teacher Grade for 30 years and Grade Leader at Country School Weston for 16 years.
Ingrid Mansfield B.A.
Transitional Kindergarten Team
Ingrid Mansfield is Co-Teacher in Blue Class. Ingrid is a graduate of Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. Ingrid is certified by the Dept. of Early Education and Care as Lead Teacher Preschool as well as Director. Prior to joining Weston Wing, Ingrid served as Lead Teacher and Director of Roxbury Weston Programs, Inc for 18 years as well as Lead Teacher at the Arlington Heights Nursery School.
Melissa Gaudet, A.A.
Melissa is a morning float teacher supporting our classrooms and Toddler teacher for the afternoon program. She is a graduate of Weston Public Schools and has an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts. Melissa has worked for the Weston Windows preschool and is looking forward to furthering her education in early childhood education.
Joy Ferguson joined Weston Wing this September as our Afternoon Lead Toddler Teacher. Joy formally taught at the Evergreen Day School in Cambridge as a part-time toddler teacher and in the Philippines at Kidvantage Learning Center as a preschool teacher. Joy is continuing her professional development studies in early childhood education at Mass Bay Community College. Joy also holds a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, with a major in Social Science from Philippine Normal University. Joy lives in Weston and is an avid artist.
