MARIANNE MALONEY, M. ED.

PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Marianne joined Weston Wing as the new Director in July 2012. Marianne has a B.A. in Human Services from the University of Massachusetts, an M.A. in Education from Wheelock and Cambridge College and is a certified Developmental Specialist through the Department of Public Health. Marianne is excited to continue Weston Wing's legacy of providing excellence in early education and care. Prior to joining Weston Wing, Marianne was a center director for over 18 years in Concord, MA.

FACULTY

JOY FERGUSON, B.S.

YOUNG TODDLER TEAM

Joy is our co-teacher in our Purple Class. Joy comes to us with a B.S. in Education from Philippine University. Joy was on our staff previously in 2017/18. During the interim, she taught in other area preschools. Joy is qualified by the DEEC as Lead Teacher and Director.

LILY MEADE, B.A.

YOUNG TODDLER TEAM

Lily is Co-Teacher in Purple Class. She is a graduate of Regis College with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Lily has previously worked at the Carousel School in Waltham with preschoolers and at the Regis College Children's Center with children ages 12 months to 5 years. Lily is Lead Teacher qualified by the DEEC. 

CHRIS ARENA, M.S., CCC-SLP

TODDLER TEAM

Chris is Co-Teacher in Yellow Class. She holds a master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology from the University of Vermont. She worked for many years as an Early Intervention speech/language pathologist in Waltham. Prior to Weston Wing, she worked for twelve years as a preschool teacher at the Carousel School in Waltham. Chris is qualified by the DEEC as a Teacher.

SUZANNE FORBES, B.A.

TODDLER TEAM

Suzanne is a Co-Teacher in Yellow Class. She has a bachelor’s degree from Regis College. Prior to raising her family, she taught 3rd grade at St. Jude School in Waltham. Most recently Suzanne taught preschool for 9.5 years at the Carousel School in Waltham. Suzanne is qualified by the DEEC as Teacher.

ELSA MARIA MALDONADO

TODDLER TEAM

Elsa Is Co-Teacher in Yellow Class. Elsa attended Century College in Vancouver, B.C. and Mass Bay Community College in Early Childhood Education. She has previously taught at Temple Beth Shalom, Hugs Plus Learning Center, Little Red Wagon Play School and Little Hands Academy. Elsa is a native of Peru and Spanish speaking. She is Lead Teacher qualified by the DEEC. 

MELISSA VARITIMOS, A.A.

PRESCHOOL TEAM

Melissa is a Co-Teacher in Green Class and teaches the afternoon program. She is a graduate of Weston Public Schools and has an A.A in Liberal Arts. Melissa has previously worked for the Weston Windows preschool. Melissa is qualified by the DEEC as Teacher. 

JAN CARLSON, B.A.

PRESCHOOL TEAM

Jan is Co-Teacher in our Green Class and the Associate Director of the school. She has a B.A. degree in Latin and Greek, and certification in Latin and English for Secondary Ed. She is a certified Orton-Gillingham tutor for students with reading and language-based learning difficulties. Jan was director of the Whittemore House Nursery School for 27 years. Jan is also the grandmother of two Weston Wing graduates. Jan is qualified by the DEEC as Lead Teacher and Director.

KATRINA O'MAHONY, B.A.

PRESCHOOL TEAM

Katrina is the Co-teacher in Green Class. Katrina has a B.A. in English, an A.A. in Liberal Arts, and a Nursery Nursing certificate from England. Katrina has previous center experience as a preschool and toddler teacher and as a children's literature representative for Usborne Books. Katrina is qualified by the DEEC as Lead Teacher and Director.

WENDY EGLINTON, B.A.

PRE-KINDERGARTEN TEAM

Wendy is Co-Teacher in our Red Class. She has lived in Weston for over 50 years where she graduated from Weston High School and went on to earn her bachelor's degree in psychology from Coby College with a concentration in education. With 30+ years of teaching experience, she has worked with all ages from infant to pre-k, introducing her literature/play based curriculum to several different classrooms at Weston Wing during her 10 years here. She is qualified by the DEEC as Teacher.

JENN GLAZER

PRE-KINDERGARTEN TEAM

Jenn is Co-Teacher in Blue Class. Jenn has years of experience as a preschool/pre-kindergarten teacher and a strong background in planning curriculum for play based preschool and pre-k settings. Jenn previously worked at a Newton preschool program. Jennifer has also instructed children of all ages in special education programs, summer camps, and after school programs. She is qualified by the DEEC as Lead Teacher from DEEC.

ASHLYN COSTELLO, B.S.

PRE-KINDERGARTEN TEAM

Ashlyn is Co-Teacher in Blue Class. Ashlyn is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire who majored in Human Development and Family Studies. Ashlyn previously worked at the Seacoast Waldorf School in Elliot, Maine. She is qualified by the DEEC as Teacher.

LAUREN SILVERSCHOTZ

PRE-KINDERGARTEN TEAM

Lauren is Co-Teacher in Red Class. She previously taught at the Woburn YMCA Child Development Center, infants to pre-k. She also served as student coordinator at the Prospect Hill 
Terrace program and administrative assistant and assistant educator at the Meeting House Afterschool program in NYC. Lauren is qualified by the DEEC as Teacher. 

INGRID MANSFIELD, B.A.

RESOURCE TEACHER

Ingrid is a graduate of Boston College with a B.A. in Education. Prior to joining Weston Wing, Ingrid served as Lead Teacher and Director of Roxbury Weston Programs, Inc for 18 years as well as Lead Teacher at the Arlington Heights Nursery School. Ingrid will support in Toddler and Preschool as needed by schedules. Ingrid is qualified by the DEEC as Lead Teacher Preschool as well as Director.

SUZANNE BRENT, B.S.

RESOURCE TEACHER / TODDLER & PRESCHOOL TEAM

Suzanne is a co-teacher in both the morning and the afternoon programs. Suzanne comes to Weston Wing with over 30+ years of experience teaching preschoolers and toddlers and is Lead Teacher qualified through DEEC. Suzanne has her Bachelor of Science from Leslie University with a concentration in Expressive Therapies. Sue supports the students and staff as a resource teacher and brings her vast experience to all our classrooms.
